COURSE OVERVIEW

The Diploma in Jewellery Design allows students to explore a variety of areas within traditional and contemporary Jewellery Design practice where the emphasis is placed on creativity, innovation, experimentation, and material applications through technical skills and computer-aided programs to design jewellery and accessories giving students both technical and aesthetic traits of jewellery designing.

Students will also learn skills in design management, portfolio building, and marketing. Therefore, preparing each individual for entering the market as a contemporary Jewellery Designer / Maker.

Graduation Year: 2015 | Jewellery Design

In 2015 Wong was chosen by the Pratt Jewellery Faculty as the recipient for the Peters Valley scholarship, she also received the “Most Outstanding Award” and “Winner of the Necklace Category” for the MIJF Jewellery Design Awards.

In 2014 she was one of 15 female finalists for the GIT World’s Jewellery Design Awards. Last year her work was exhibited in the Junior Jewellery Show and the NASAD re-accreditation show at Pratt Institute, as well as the TEN x TEN pop-up exhibit at the 2015 Society of North American Goldsmiths Conference.

Industry collaborations and live projects are the hallmarks of Raffles Kuala Lumpur’s students’ learning process. In this collaboration with CHEETAH Malaysia, our Jewellery Design students design custom jewellery pieces for the launch of CHEETAH Exclusive Blue Paisley Collection by Jovian Mandagie.
