Raffles Kuala Lumpur Welcomes Dato’ Seri Irmohizam as Industry Advisory Panel member for Business

Congratulations and Welcome on board YBhg. Dato’ Sri Dr. Hj. Irmohizam bin Ibrahim JP as a member of Raffles College of Higher Education – Kuala Lumpur INDUSTRY ADVISORY PANEL (IAP) – BUSINESS.
 
Dato’ Sri Irmohizam has been the Group Managing Director of World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) since 2019. Driven by passion and dedication, he has marked his name as the first Malaysian to become the Chairman of Conferences & Exhibitions, Member Advisory Council (MAC), and World Trade Centers Association (WTCA).

 

In 2020, Dato’ Sri Irmohizam joined the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) as a member of the Board of Directors. Dato’ Sri is also one of the Board of Directors of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

 

Dato’ Sri Irmohizam, who recently completed his Oxford Executive Leadership Programme from the Said Business School, University of Oxford, has also participated in the 10th ASEAN Senior Management Development Program and has taken courses by the prestigious Harvard Business School, Harvard University. Areas of study include China and Communism; and Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies. He has been named one of the World’s 100 Best Public Figures by The Contemporary World Press in China. It is an exciting opportunity for Dato’ Sri to be a business ambassador, leveraging on his close ties with business people in China, to promote business events and economic and trade exchanges between the two countries via fostering better economic and trade relations between China and Malaysia.
 

Our distinguished Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) for Business ensures that our courses offered are relevant to the current industry needs and practices. The IAP advises and assists in providing students with internship opportunities and sharing insights and industry trends with our students.

 

The Industry Advisory Panels (IAPs) consist of industry practitioners, leaders, and innovators from the corporate sector, start-ups, enterprises, and government agencies; serve a strategic role in providing industry perspectives and support for the Business Department’s courses and strategic directions; as well as linking the Business Department to the corporate world and government agencies.

 

The IAPs will offer assistance and support in terms of business and market insights to enhance the curriculum, provide opportunities for academia-industry collaboration and establish various partnerships to facilitate the Immersive Learning agenda of the institution.
