Our Bachelor in Interior Design students from Raffles Kuala Lumpur recently embarked on an international study trip to Jakarta, Indonesia, taking learning beyond the classroom into real-world environments.
With the theme “Crush the Box, Detach Boundaries, and Get Uncomfortable,” students experienced interior design in action — from exploring cultural districts and urban landscapes to attending Indonesia’s biggest design expo, the Indonesia Design District (IDD).
This journey gave students the opportunity to observe real-world design issues, gain fresh perspectives, and gather insights for their Major Studio Project, all while immersing themselves in a vibrant creative culture. It was a trip filled with learning, inspiration, and bold ideas
